Photographs from a May 16, 1949 Life article that heralded the invention of a strapless, simply two cloth cups. Charles Langs, the inventor, spent four years developing 'Poses' to alleviate the strap shifting problem while tanning. While he originally planned to turn out 200,000 per year, the design did not enjoy much success.

BIRTHDAY GIRL!

It's not every year that I get my best friend, Olivia Cuervo, in town for her BIRTHDAY! That calls for a girls' day on the island of Miami Beach!!! We chose Soho Beach House as the venue where we spent nearly 5 hours enjoying bellinis, breadsticks, and burrata.. I don't think we could have asked for much more.

The Miami Soho House opened just over 6 months ago and features Cecconi's at its core in a beautiful outdoor courtyard. Here are some photos of the decor and of course, the B day girl!
